MTFT is a symptom-limited evaluation that is used to measure the functional performance of an individual with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and to document a client's physiological changes through repeated testing. It is designed to test five physical components that contribute to occupational performance. These items include indoor mobility,sit-to-stand transfers, lifting, carrying, and stepping — tasks that represent various energy levels.
