The MAQ measures past-year and past-week leisure and occupational activity to obtain a general estimate of how physically active an individual was during his/her past, and how physically active he/she is currently. Transportation to and from work is included in the occupational activity section, and inactivity is also measured in the questionnaire. Past-year activities are reported month-by-month, which could reveal information about seasonal variations of physical activity. However, all activities over the year are summed and divided into an average of physical activity per week.
