The original W-BQ (22-item version) was developed in 1982. It was reduced in the early 1990s to form the shorter, more balanced W-BQ12. The longer version W-BQ28 was developed in the late 1990s and is diabetes-specific. The W-BQ-12 is widely used in clinical trials and other studies in different patient groups
