The Illness Intrusiveness Rating Scale asks people affected by chronic illnesses, “How much does your illness and/or its treatment interfere with your:" followed by thirteen specific life domains: health, diet, paid work, active recreation, passive recreation, financial situation, relationship with your spouse, sex life, family relations, other social relations, self-expression/self-improvement, religious expression, community and civic involvement. The items are rated on a 1 (not so much)-7 (very much) point Likert scale.
